Letting the panel do all the work

When Brian's son called and announced he was getting married next month, and that he and his wife would like a quilt in earthtones, Ann got to work putting this quilt together with the Stonehenge Apollo Earth panel.  Call for instructions.

Tip of the Month from HeartSong QuiltsDoes your steam iron need a little "steam?"

Regular maintenance of your iron is essential.

If you have a steam iron, we recommend always using distilled water to extend the life of your iron. Dump out the water when you’re done for the day.  This will prevent deposits building up inside your iron.  Also, clean your plate regularly. Two products work really well for this.  One is made by Bonash and is called Bonash Iron Clean, and the other is Dritz Iron Off.  Both remove sticky fusible debris, etc.  Also, we use Teflon sheets which we place over fusible applique pieces to protect the plate of the iron.

Recipes from HeartSong QuiltsDad's Famous Hot Nuts

Well, it's a story how they got their name . . .  Quite excellent, if I do say so.

3 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

3 cups cashew nuts

HEAT oven to 300 degrees.

In medium saucepan melt butter at medium heat.  Stir in Worcestershire, chili powder, cayenne and garlic powder until well mixed.  Add cashews, stirring until nuts are evenly coated.

Transfer mixture to a 13x9x2 inch baking pan.  Bake in 300 degree oven for 20 minutes, stirring twice.  Let cool in pan for 15 minutes.  Turn out onto paper towels to finish cooling.

I was in the other day & bought the red wide backing fabric for my Aborigine quilt. I have to say that, after working with the fabric, it is Fantastic! I love the feel of it, & it has a very good "hand" for backing.  So glad I shopped your store 1st!!!
